Keyboard shortcuts not working until I click the pasteboard.

If I open a document that is zoomed way into an object, I can't zoom out with my normal command-0 or command-minus. I will have to click the arrow tool on the palette, and carefully click that object in order to get my shortcuts working again.

This is annoying for me because I've gotten used to a very shortcut heavy workflow over the years. My mouse hand will often leave the mouse to grab papers or something.

Hi,

try restoring your InDesign preferences:

quit InDesign and restart the program. Then immediately press at once and keep holding Command-Option-Shift-Control keys.

When you see a dialog box that asks if you want to reset the preferences, say Yes.
