not maintaining Transparency when exporting to PDF

When I export to PDF the transparency of color over some of my images is not showing up.

It should look like the image below but instead it shows up as solid. How do I fix this?!?! No links are missing btw...

Version of InDesign? Operating system? What PDF Print export setting did you choose? We need before and after screen shots so we can see the difference, thanks!

Also what PDF viewer are you using. Some lower end readers like OSX Preview can have problems rendering transparency correctly.
