Import AI file with different artboard sizes as pages

I've got a feeling the answer is no... but....

I have an AI document with loads of different artboard sizes. Can I import this into Indesign in any way where each artboard becomes a page in Indesign AND keeps the varying artboard dimensions as the page size?

The answer is no. You could place each pasteboard (with different sizes) onto each page in InDesign. Then you would need to use the Page tool to resize any InDesign page to match the place AI artboard.
