Assuming your bank statement has been saved as a PDF, you can use the Tools>Comments feature in Acrobat.  Selecting the 'Add Sticky Note' and clicking on the appropriate spot in your doc will place a comment icon, and give you a popup window to enter your comment/note.

My best,

Dave

Thanks Dave,

It appears that the PDF statement is not enabled for commenting as the sticky note and other icons are grayed out.

Ok - let's get some more info...

What program are you using?  Acrobat Pro?  If so, what version.  Or are you using Reader?

Did you create this statement?  If so, from what program?  What technique did you use to create the PDF?

You can check if there is a security setting prohibiting you from commenting by clicking on File>Properties, and clicking on the Security Tab.  If there is a password security restriction, you'll need to ask the creator of the file to unlock this feature - if he/she is willing.

I'm using a free trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

I'm trying to add comments to a PDF of my bank statement. Checking the

security, there are restrictions on everything but printing, that's why

the comment feature is grayed out.

Doesn't look like I can do it.

An associate of mine has some adobe software at their work and they were

able to convert the PDF to a Word or an Excel doc and add comments in

spite of the security.

Probably because they work at RBC and my statement was from RBC.
