Strange problem with actions

Hi all,

I'm working on an action where I fade in a name and then have some text appear one letter at a time to look like it's being written while you read it. I've done this a number of times before without any troubles. What is happening now is, after the tween to fade the name in, I duplicate the last frame, Type in the first letter of my word, give it a drop shadow, duplicate that frame and repeat.....until the first word is done. The strange thing is that when I type in a letter and give it a drop shadow, the letter (without the drop shadow) appears in every previous frame and this is not what should be happening.  The word "enjoy" should not appear until the tween is done playing.

I've attached the gif for you to see, and if you notice, the drop shadows fall into place where the text should be falling into play. 2510.gif

Found my answer, something I didn't know about, there is an option in the timeline panel for new layers to be shown in all frames.

Turned it off and everything is fine now - and I still have some hair left!

Thanks, Al
