Lightroom CC 2015.8 Release CRASH on Import

Mac OS 10.12.3

LR is crashing immediately when I attempt an import. If I keep trying, after 3-5 crashes and restarts, the import will complete successfully. I can't pinpoint when this behavior started, but it may have begun when I updated to 10.12.

Any recommendations for troubleshooting or resolution? thanks -- jay

Adobe support was able to resolve the problem. Lightroom permissions were changed as a result of 10.12 upgrade.

It is your Mac that is causing the crashes. If it was all LR there would be thousands if not millions of posts about it.

Some piece of software or hardware on/in your Mac is causing LR to crash.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Yes, I'm certain some piece of software on the Mac is causing LR to crash. LR, or some other software.

If anyone else has any tips for troubleshooting, I would appreciate useful feedback.  thanks

So it was some other software that caused LR to start crashing. In this case something a OS update did that caused it.

Well thanks for that shrewd observation. Had I known the cause of the problem, I would not have posted seeking the support of this community. Fortunately, I found an outlet with helpful feedback through Adobe support.
