Rather than opening Premier Elements from the Organizer, can you find and open the "PremiereElementsEditor.exe" file?

We tried opening the Organizer and the main screen appears, but then hangs with the "This program has stopped working" message.

I'm not currently at the PC having the reported problem. Will not be back there until next week. Will check in with you then.

There are options built in so that you can completely ignore Organizer. Since I prefer Lightroom for organizing, I have my system set up to open Premier Elements directly and never see the Elements Organizer.

Thanks, but even if we don't attempt to open the organizer, we can't open Premiere directly. It hangs at the splash screen.

That get harder and is above my pay grade! The usual series is to examine available memory space, HDD space, uninstalling and reinstalling.
This is a user forum on space provided by Adobe. Adobe themselves has a "chat" support system where they can go as far as running your computer for you to find what is wrong with the installation. Reports are that they are good at fixing it.

Good luck!
