I have been using PE 12 expert mode for years. When I drag my audio clip from project assets to my timeline, the clip shows up as a green rectangular clip but I cannot see the audio waves inside the clip to edit. The audio will still play, no waves.

I have been using PE 12 expert mode for years.  When I drag my audio clip from project assets to my timeline to edit, the clip shows up as a green rectangular clip but I cannot see the audio waves inside the clip to edit.  The audio will still play, but the clip is an empty green clip and can't see audio to edit!  This is my first time on a forum, can someone please help?  I am working on a project must be finished asap, thank you!
