Render Queue List Limit

I used to be able to create a render queue list of lots and lots of items. It seems that in AE CC 2017 the render queue is limited to 5? That's crazy. When I try to add more than 5 I get this image:

[After Effects error: cannot insert an item into a locked list.]

So is it me, or is it a "new feature"?

There are bugs in the render queue in CC 2017 that have all sorts of weird sideeffects, the limited number of items with some output methods being one of them. Something to do with the new template placehodler name functions running amok...

i am seeing this issue on After Effects 2015.3 as well

are there known issue with the render queue on AE 2015.3?

Those issues have been coming and going in recent versions, but I've lost track of which update fixed and changed what. Sorry.
