We are looking for a script to open hyperlinks in a new window.

We’ve already found a script for acrobat to do this but requires the user to re-create all the links with the script each time they edit the file.

Ideally we would like to find a script for InDesign that does this.

Do you know if there is a script available or somebody who knows how to create one.

What use is it to have an InDesign script to do this?

Perhaps you are not aware that InDesign scripts only run inside InDesign, not elsewhere?

Hello,

A colleague created hyperlinks in InDesign CC2014, she wanted to be able to export to interactive PDF and click onto each link in the PDF and have it open in a separate window, instead of the window they are currently viewing the pdf in.

We know that you can run a javascript via Adobe Acrobat to do this, but because this particular document has many links and it has to be updated weekly, it’s just not efficient to have to go into Adobe Acrobat and add the javascript to each link every time the document is updated.

So, we are looking for a way to create and add the script inside the InDesign file to save time.

Any thoughts?
