I've looked all over for a solution to this issue and couldn't find one. I'm running Lightroom 2015.8 on Mac OS 10.12.3 (Sierra). I've been profiling my camera again with a ColorChecker Passport, and have been deleting my old profiles in the process. The folder which holds camera profiles on Mac OS is empty (Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles) is completely empty but my old profiles are still showing up. Despite deleting all my older profiles, some photos stored in folders on my external drive still show the old profiles in the dropdown. Any ideas why old profiles that no longer exist are showing up still? I've even completely deleted the CameraRaw folder and they still appear.
DNGs can contain the profile embedded in them even if the original source profile file has been deleted from the computer. Could this be what is happening?

Hi Grcouch,
Do you have more than 2 versions of lightroom installed on your computer?

There's only one version installed, which is the most current one available (LR 2015.8).
