A) When a text layer is selected, and I double click on a preset in Bridge to add an animation, I get this pop up:

Screen Shot 2017-02-11 at 00.08.32.png

B) And when I choose 'Place in Adobe After Effects CC 2017' from the drop down menu in Bridge (right click on preset), I get this:

Screen Shot 2017-02-11 at 00.05.34.png

In A) the animation is not added to the text layer whereas in B) it is.

What's the deal?

What's the deal?

unfortunately applying presets through bridge is broken as of CC2015.3. if you do want to use presets, you can use the effects & presets panel and choose the preset you want by clicking on it twice.
