Error message 'DynamicLink is not available'

I have attempted to import an audio file into photoshop. It loads for ages (spinning rainbow wheel of death) and then gives me the error message 'Could not complete command because DynamicLink is not available.'

I have tried a few different types of files now, e.g Video files that usually work on my photoshop, so I know it can't be a broken file. I have of course tried the obvious things, restarting photoshop, restarting computer, turning computer off then on again... nothing is working, it repeats the problem with different files.

Please would someone give me some advice, or look into this for me?

Anyone else had this problem and found a way to resolve?

Thanks!

Nobody can tell you anything without exact system info or other technical details such as version of PS. This error typically means that the program can't connect to the required external components like the audio and video CoDecs and most of the time they are simply blocked by some other tool or process.

Apologies, I thought I had said. My macbook is 15 inch retina, 2.8 GHz, 16 GB, OS X Version 10.9.4,  and I am using Photoshop CC 2015.5.1

Hope this helps?
