Hi, I am new in Indesign and I want to print a size A6 booklet (105mm x 148mm) on an A4 sheet. Is it possible? How can I do it?

You should specify your question.

Do you want to impose or do you want to print a file just on a larger paper?

Hi,

Do you want to print your document on an A4, fold, cut and staple to make your own booklet or do you want to print all your pages on A4 paper to proof them?

I used successfully before the Print Booklet option in InDesign [File menu]. Make sure that your pages are set up as A6 since that is the finished size you want.

I also tried plugins for InDesign and PDF files that worked nicely.

Hello,

I need to print a series of "brochures" - booklets of 20 to 56 pages in multiple copies.

I have a laser printer that can duplex and I want to do it myself, not to go at a CopyCenter. The problem is that I can’t find a way to print two brochures that are formatted A6 (ie A5 unfolded) on an A4 sheet in the correct order of the pages so I can staple them after printing.

I created in Excel a program that lists my pages in the correct printing order, ie for the 20-page brochure, the correct sequence is:

20,1,20,1, front 1
2,19,2,19, back 1
18,3,18,3, front 2
4,17,4,17, back 2
16,5,16,5, front 3
6,15,6,15, back 3
14,7,14,7,
8,13,8,13,
12,9,12,9,
10,11,10,11

but in word the option to print after page allows me to enter only 254 characters that makes it impossible to print the brochures over 44 pages and with abobe in even worse, allows only 100 characters.

Can you help me find a solution?

For example, the longest sequence I need is for 56 pages:

56,1,56,1,2,55,2,55,54,3,54,3,4,53,4,53,52,5,52,5,6,51,6,51, 50, 7,50,7,8,49,8,49,48,9,48,9, 10,47,10,47,46,11,46,11,12,45,12,45, 44,13, 44,13,14,43,14,43,42,15,42,15,16,41,16,41, 40,17,40,17,18,39,18,39,38,19,38,19,20,37,20,37,36,21,36,21,22,35,22,35,34,23,34,23, 24,33,24,33,32,25,32,25, 26,31,26,31,30,27,30,27,28,29,28,29

I need to keep the original in editable state because every year something most be changed inside the booklet, some names, same dates, some places.

Respectfully,
Mikel

You also need to consider the area your printer will print to on an A4 sheet, if it doesn't allow printing edge to edge you'll need to allow for that and if it's not a duplex (double sided) printer you'll need to check for alignment. (You'll be printing four pages each side of the sheet.)
