Hello everyone,

Suddenly my fonts using indesign looks strange. Not sure what is going. I am using Indesign CS6 in mac. Details of problem and OS below.

It looks like one of the required system fonts got turn off or deleted.

Thanks all for your replies..

The issue is gone if someone else logged in.. the problem occurs only in my login... am not using any application like suitcase..also no fonts deleted from sysytem

Hi.

That's a good sign. It means the need fonts are still on your system.

here are a couple of things I would try:

- open fonts folders and check the fonts are there: Lucida Grande, Helvetica Neue

username > Library > Fonts

Macintosh HD > Library > Fonts

Macintosh HD > System > Library > Fonts

you might have caught something that has changed the PS name of a font or a 'newer' version of one of your font was corrupted and points to the wrong information. See for more details How to change the default system font in Mac OS X | MacIssues

You might need to clean your font caches. I use Suitcase to do this, but there are other ways.
