Indesign crashes after deleting an item

In my indesign document (Adobe CC) there are 2 images I just can't delete. I can move them, but as soon as I delete them, indesign shuts down (without any warning).

I work with this document for a few years now and placed the 2 images next to the page so it didn't bother me. But I had to change the source of the images so there is a missing link now. I also can't reload the images for the new images where it links to. I think there is nothing wrong with the source, it is just a JPG.

Is there a way to delete the 2 items?

Thank you in advance!
