Changing from Elements 12 to 15 - Moving Catalog and tags

I just purchased and loaded PSE 15.  I have been using PSE 12.

How do I move the catalog with tags from 12 to 15.  The conversion during installation failed ( over 100,000 photos)

I assume you have both PSE12 and PSE15 on the same computer.

Is there something special in your catalog: many videos, people recognition ?

Can you successfully perform a full backup on an external drive?

I have performed a successful backup to the hard disk.  I now have a external hard drive and do another backup to the external hard drive.

Yes, I do have people tagged, places named and other comments that I do not want to lose.

Yes, Elements 12 and 15 are both on the same computer.

Common catalog upgrade issues in Elements Organizer

If you can perform a backup that should exclude a problem file blocking the conversion process.
