Can't access files from old computer.

My computer crashed after a java update and windows 10 update making me buy a new computer.  I had a lot of adobe files on my old computer.  I cannot access them on my new computer.  Is accessing them possible or not?  I think it was in acrobat reader.

I have pulled hard drives from failing/failed computers over the years, and successfully put them in external drive enclosures.  They mount on new computers after simply plugging them into a USB port.  The external drive cases are inexpensive, and I have had nothing but success in using this method of bringing files from old to new computers.  Once Windows recognizes the external drive, you can access, copy - anything.
