HP Elitebook - trackpad compatibility with Adobe?

Hi All

I'd be super grateful for any assistance regarding this issue.

I have a new HP EliteBook computer and am using LR5 and CS6.

I am having difficulty using the trackpad with these products. It is fine with all other software but seems not to work well with the Adobe products. Adobe will not provide assistance as the software has been superseded and they suggest compatibility issues.

Any thoughts on how to address this problem would be welcomed. I'm trying to avoid the subscription based software for a bit longer yet.
