Ok, hope someone can help.

I am dragging an mp3 sound file into a new multitrack file into Adobe audition (which I have done countless times), for some reason now when i drop the file in there is no sound on the file, no sound wave shows at all in the track.....HOWEVER if I double click the file on my computer the track opens in iTunes and plays not a problem.

The sample rate is the same as the audition file, it can locate the file when searched for it, I've tried linking the media.....all this does nothing. When dragging it in it says on the bottom of it 'offline' BUT if I say reveal in finder it locates the file on my computer instantly......I'm racking my brain as to this issue. can someone PLEASE HELP!

Perhaps better posted on the Audition forum? I'll move it there if you like.
