I fail to create a good brush for this linework

Hello everybody,

I've been trying for a while to create a brush with a similar texture to this ink linework (without the color aberration of course):

I'm mainly scratching paths, but sometimes I'm drawing by hand, too. But none of my brushes have come close to producing anything similar to this. Could perhaps one of you give it a try and tell me which settings for brush & background/foreground color to use? It doesn't have to be perfect, of course, just better than my failed attempts ^^

Mhm, my lines are still nowhere close the sample. But it's really my fault, I suck at utilising other people's brushes as much as I suck at making them.

It's a very straight forward brush to create.  Start with one of the standard Chalk presets, and set Angle jitter to 100% and add a touch of scatter (about 20%)

I see! That makes sense indeed, thank you. One thing's missing though: In the original lines you have a slight texture of lighter pixels inbetween, and that makes the lines much more pleasing to the eye. I've been trying to recreate that with color dynamics but ended up with lines that ranged from rainbows to small grey scale airbrushes; some of them were not too bad, but none of them were close to the original texture.

Next thing I'm going to try is to create an ink texture from the original lines and then just overlay that pattern over the monochrome lines of the brush, maybe that works better.
