Read Out Loud

I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on my windows PC (Windows 10). When I activate the 'read out loud' function, there is no audio output, even when I manually select the field for reading. Please help.

Interesting.  I just opened a tagged PDF in Reader DC, and it would not read the page aloud.  Closed Reader, and opened the same document in Acrobat Pro DC, and it read it perfectly.  I've checked the preferences in Reader, and everything seems to be set to allow the Read Aloud feature.  I'll investigate some more to see what I can find.
