Hey, I got this great stylus, it's kind of awesome and works fine with some other apps, but I really can't get Photoshop Sketch to detect it!! It's such a shame, I was looking forward!
Anyone got any tips? Tricks? Ideas?

Hi Amphata.

What device and what version of Sketch are you using?

Let me know.

Hi Sue!

Thanks for answering!

I'm using an iPad Mini 2, and Sketch v. 4.0.2!

Cri,

That stylus should work fine on that device. Actually, I should probably make sure you're trying to connect it the right way.

* Open a drawing canvas.

* Tap the Gear icon in the upper navigation and from the menu that opens tap Stylus.

* The Connect icon will be on the next menu.

Make sure your stylus is charged and working in other apps before trying to connect it in Draw.

Is that wha you're doing and it's not connecting? What happens when you try to connect it?

Sue.

Hello again!

Yes, that is exactly what I'm doing: after a little of blue light when i press the button, the pen light stops flashing and then the app error box pops up, that the app couldn't detect the pen.

Could it be because mine is a Fineline 3?

Thanks again a lot!

Cri,

Let me check with the product team about whether that's been tested.

Cri,

OK, found out what's going on...

The bad news: The drivers for third-party stylus support haven't been updated for awhile, so some of the new(er) styluses aren't working in the apps.

The good news: They'll be updated in the next version (which should be available in about three weeks).

Hope that helps.

Sue.

Hope you've updated to the new version of Adobe Photoshop Sketch, Bamboo Fineline (3rd Generation) stylus is now supported.

The Fineline is a little different for Adobe Mobile... you don't need to press/hold the button AND click the area to connect.

You can do EITHER. (click/hold button on stylus, OR press nib to circle)

On testing, when doing both, it connects/disconnects trying to disconnect and reconnect.

*make sure Bluetooth is enabled on device
