Hi,

I was preparing a stationary recently, but there's something weird with the distances...

Inside of Indesign, it looks to be centered - exact same distance from the edges..

but when I print out the document and measure it in, the distance is quite a lot different.

Here's a screenshot that illustrates the issue:

The boxes are exactly the same size, the cm shown are what the real life distance is.

Why is this happening and what can I do about it ?

Or your printer might be misaligned. Check the printer manual to see how to correct it.

Is the width of the paper correct, or is it a bit short?

hm, that's a good question..

I just checked and it's 21 cm as it should be..

BarbBinder
might also be possible. I'll try another printer if that helps..

ok, I guess this is the problem.

I just checked another printer and the difference in the distance is again different, and smaller.

So the printers must be misaligned. Should be ok if I send it to the printhouse.

Yes. You double checked your measurements so you will be fine.
