1 - create a circle
2 - I choose the tool "text on path"

3 - copy text (5-7 words) from clipboard

4 - freeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......................

Anyone faced with similar?
There is a solution?

Thanks

P.S. Windows 10, 64-bit; inDesign CC 2017 (last update)

Have you tried restoring your InDesign preferences? Here's how:

Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences

If that doesn't work (trashing prefs), try re-ordering the workflow:

  1. Copy text
  2. Draw ellipse
  3. Select Type on a Path tool
  4. Click the ellipse's path
  5. Paste

Based on your listed workflow it's crashing on Copy, so I'm putting that at the top to see if it makes a difference.

I've had the same problem for a year or two now and can't figure it out either. I suspect it has something to do with paragraph styles, but I'm not sure exactly what.
