Hello Folks,

I just installed creative cloud on my windows PC and downloaded After Effects CC (2017) for a trial period of 7 days to check before I actually purchase. Installation is done successfully but when I launch After Effects its throwing an error and exiting. I did not get it running even a single time. The error details are mentioned below.

Faulting application name: AfterFX.exe, version: 14.0.1.5, time stamp: 0x58259e6c

Faulting module name: atio6axx.dll, version: 6.14.10.12199, time stamp: 0x51e66e84

Exception code: 0xc0000005

Fault offset: 0x00000000006f913b

Faulting process id: 0x2674

Faulting application start time: 0x01d24635ba3e25e8

Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CC 2017\Support Files\AfterFX.exe

Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\atio6axx.dll

Report Id: fa8742fe-b228-11e6-a9fd-80000bc52195

I did try the workarounds given for similar error reported to the previous version but did not help here.since it is a latest download from creative cloud , i believe it has all the updates in it.

It would be of great help if someone can take a look on this issue and revert at the earliest.

try this:

  1. try to run the software as administrator - (right click->run as administrator)
  2. try disabling firewalls or antivirus/malware scanner and see if that works
  3. try reset your preferences: Reset After Effects Preferences
  4. re-install the application

Hi,

I have the same issue and also tried completely reinstalling the software. For me the issue appeared when I updated from 2015.3.

Everything else is the same as prajithm77109048 reported.

6) After successful deletion relaunch the Creative Cloud
