I am losing individual images and one entire folder of images in Lightroom.  Where are they going?  Why?

Please check that you are not using any filters.

In the Catalog section in the Library module select All Photographs and set the Sort: to Capture Time and the (A/Z)-(Z/A) part to Z/A which will place the newest images at the top of the grid view browse your images. But you have to have the Filters set to off.

Which exact version of Lightroom (x.y.z)?

Mac or Windows? Which version?

What do you mean by "losing"? Are the files disappearing from the catalog? From the internal hard drive? From the external hard drive?

What is the exact wording of any error messages you are getting?

They just randomly disappear never top be found again.  No messages, Nothing.  Not found on any drives.  I import to main C drive, edit them and one day they are gone.  Windows 7.  LR 6.7.
