Brushes acting funky

All my brushes are suddenly solid and out of shape. Even when I change the pen pressure/opacity/jitter - it still remains out of shape. Even the airbrushes act like splatters. I cant work like this. Anyone got any tips?

Open the Brush presets panel, and uncheck all options (green highlight)

What do you see in the brush preview window?  (red highlight)

Reset the brush tool from the options bar

Please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (and all pertinent settings) visible.

Have you reset the Tool yet?

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
