Work space is suddenly white?

Who can please tell me how to change that the area around my picture is now white instead of the normal grey. Who can please help me adjust this setting?

Hi

Right click on the white area and a menu will appear to select an alternative colour

Go to Edit> Preferences > Interface then change standard Screen mode to whatever colour you want including custom colours as per image below:
