Text box border won't turn off

I cannot get the text box outline to turn off. I have the stroke weight at 0 and the outline set to none. I've double checked to make sure i didn't accidentally insert a table. Only thing I can think of is that I used DataMerge for this document and I know that feature has been glitchy. I'm using InDesign CC 2017. Any ideas?

Download example of this to some dropbox/yadisk in idml and show link here.

ESP in action:

- some effect applied to frame

- some frame with stroke at the bottom

- table cell inside the frame

Ok, I just figured it out. I had accidentally inserted a table into a text box and they were the exact same size. So even though the stroke was turned off for the text box, the table still had an outline.

Thank you!
