Can I convert PDFs to ePub in Acrobat or another Adobe app?
If yes, is there a way to convert a lot (hundreds) at once?

Hi sb116,
Thank you for your reply!
Do you know if any other Adobe app can do it?

Hi Sebastian2012a,
You may try using Adobe In Design for the same.
It lets you save the PDF as an EPUB file.
Thanks,
Supriya

You can try online PDF to ePub converter:
Online-convert offers abundant of free services to perform document/image/audio/video conversion. Differentiating from other similar online tools, online-convert allows users to customize the file conversion as much as possible, you can upload files from computer or url, you can modify ebook title or author, add border, set embed font, etc.
Zamzar, another outstanding online tool to convert PDF to rich formats, including ePub. Though not allowing users to customize a PDF to ePub conversion, Zamzar brings users good results, the formatting in original PDF files will be retained in the converted ePub file.

Hi Sebastian, I found your question today, and I discovered that the open source ePub reader Calibre has a built in PDF to epub converter that is super fast. You need to mess around with settings to get rid of the chapter and page headings, but once you have the find and replace settings right, you can do hundreds. https://alternativeto.net/software/calibre/about/
