Hi,

I had the same problem with a few students who worked in Windows. It's because Photoshop doesn't switch to the Start (or other) Workspace. Just go to to this little icon, and select Start. You'll have the Start Workspace again now.

Hope this works for you!

That's strange, is it maybe possible to switch to the Essentials workspace again?

if it doesn't work, try to hold CTRL-ALT-SHIFT when restarting Photoshop; and then reset the preferences.

i hope this works for you!

O, and maybe first restart Photoshop without the keys. That may help too

I meant first try to restart Photoshop without holding ctrl-alt-shift. If it still doesn't work: shut down Photoshop, restart it and directly hold ctrl-alt-shift. You'll get an alert that asks if you want to reset the photoshop preferences. Maybe it'll work then.

I have the same problem and resetting the preferences didn't help. I was able to switch to another workspace but opening files or creating new files resulted in nothing. Whatever I do, nothing happens. I tried to deinstall PS and removed everything with the Adobe cleaner tool but also nothing happened after I installed PS again.
