Automatic arrangement of objects not working

I've been googling for a solution for a while now but with no avail. Normally, when I move an object, it snaps onto the centre or aligns on par with another object, but for some time now InDesign doesn't do that anymore, so I have to calculate and manually enter the desired position of my object. How do I fix this?

Choose View > Grids & Guides > Smart Guides.

Make sure it's ON

OK, check your Preferences. Are those 4 options checked?:
