Is there anyway to select through and object to one hidden behind? I've played around with double clicks and alt-clicks etc and not discovered one.

If I was on my mac I could use the layers of course, just happen to be on windows today !

Have you tried using Cmd + ] to bring objects forward and select them, and then move them backward using Cmd+[?

Thanks,
