Lightroom 6 wont open

Have lightroom 6.8. Often it takes many clicks over a bit of time to open lightroom. Sometimes it opens after I have run the troubeshooting link. It says that the incompatability issue has been resolved. Often this issue has not been resolved. If I try to switch catalogues I have the same problem. I cannot open the creative cloud from the link and have to search online. All other programs run well on my computer. The program sometimes did not work properly on Windows 8, with windows 10 the problem has become very problematic.

One of the issues is that I am not computer savvy. I  am 0 out of 100 when it comes to technology problem solving

64 bit operating system, x64-based processor

Hi markj,

Please update the Lightroom to the latest update 6.9 and check if that helps.

Also, you can turn off the Graphics processor from the Lightroom preferences.

Open Lightroom > Edit menu > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck GPU > Restart.
