Adobe premiere elements 12 won't open, error 0xc0000142

Hi,

My adobe premiere elements 12 won't open anymore, it shows error code 0xc0000142. I did not update my windows or anything (I have windows 10family and it worked just great on it before). But I did have my antivirus detecting some stuff recently, so I guess it might have deleted some important files without me noticing it.

Also, I don't have the liecence key with me anymore.

Is there a way either to fix that error code or to find my liecence key somewhere in the files so I can reinstall it?

I'm afraid if I just reinstall now it would ask me for the liecence key, which I don't have with me anymore.

Thanks!

Lost information - see reply #1 in https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2008767

- page has links to programs to find an installed serial number in Mac or Windows

- includes link to your Adobe account to check for registered serial numbers

- when you find your serial number(s) write them down and put in a desk drawer

An idea that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10... works for some, not for others

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)

NOTE - Win10 anniversary update version 1607 has caused MAJOR problems with old programs, so the above may not work
