I'm new to Muse, and my first website is quite vast. In it I will have a few hundred pages on each of which there will be a link to folder download of about 6MB in size. Will that download link slow down the loading of the page? Will having so many pages and links to downloads slow down my site? Thanks for your help.

You are definitely better off with one page with 100 links than 100 pages with 1 link. Either way you have 100 links on a page - wether it's to a file or to another page it's still 100 links. 1 page is easier to maintain obviously and the user only has to load one page to access all the content rather than load 100 pages.

No, if it's just a link to a file the link will not slow down the page from loading. Of course the file itself may take awhile to download depending on the size and user's connection.

I would caution you though that a site with that many pages could be a challenge to properly maintain with Muse.

Thanks for your help. I was putting only one link on a page to keep the page from taking too long to load. If the link will not slow down the page, then could I put 40 links to 6MB folders on one page? That would rally help me keep the page count down.
