aerender.exe (14.1) fails while (13.8) works for same project

Hi everyone. I'm trying to render a local job with aerender.exe using Windows 7 CMD. I've done this many times before and have even produced my own tools and scripts around it. However, I haven't tried the latest After Effects CC version, and now when trying to send a simple job to aerender.exe for the latest After Effects version (14.1) the job/CMD window comes to an halt even before a frame is produced, but does not crash or produce any error. It just seems stuck on something.

If I render the exact same project (but converted to After Effects 13.8) aerender.exe works as expected without problems.

The command I'm sending to CMD is very simple:

"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CC 2017\Support Files\aerender.exe" -project C:\test\test.aep

The project file itself contains nothing unusual, basic source material and a prepared job in the render queue.

Does anyone know what might be going on here?

Thanks for any help.

Well, since I am a bit in a hurry I simply wiped all Adobe software from my computer using Adobe's own uninstaller/cleaner, and reinstalled everything. The aerender.exe works as intended now. Sorry that I could not give more info to help pinpoint the problem, but this solved my problem at least.

Thanks though!

If nobody here has any useful suggestions, I'd suggest you contact Adobe support. It may help to ask for the video queue, if you're calling in.
