Updating Lightroom cc asking me to close adobe lightroom

I have looked in task manager in windows and there is no instances of adobe lightroom running.Anyone have an idea on this?

Finally after about 6 restarts download went from 56% to finish. I think I will take your advice and next time,restart before updating and save myself a lot of hassle. thanks

Happy you got it working.

A basic rule that I always follow: Before installing any updates for OS or applications, always reboot first. This is extremely important for later Windows versions like Win 10 because by default they are not completely unloading everything during a normal shutdown, only on a reboot.
