I have CS 6 and after Apple worked on my laptop it tells me my application manager is is missing or corrupted.  When searching for it I find that it has been discontinued and no longer needed.  How do you eliminate this error message?

Cs6 still needs an application manager.

Try installing the adobe application manager from here:

Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Macintosh : Adobe Application Manager

If that doesn't work then reinstalling photoshop cs6 will probably fix it.
