Opening photoshop

I have just purchased Adope products, Photoshop 2017 and Lightroom and have installed them on my machine which uses windows 10. However, Photoshop does not complete the initialising stage when I open it and gives me an error message saying "Photoshop CC 2017 has stopped working".

What might be wrong?

If you are using Windows, the common cause is an app called "Web Companion". Go into Programs and Features, uninstall it, and restart your PC.

I'm glad that took care of it. A case in point that Adobe's software is not always at fault. Other items on your PC can cause problems.

The trick is knowing which ones.
