Adobe Indesign CC 2017 has stopped working

While using Adobe InDesign CC 2017 the programme stops working when I try to place an image into the document.

It is happening on all files I am working on.

I have done the following;

-Uninstallled & reinstalled InDesign

-Restarted my computer numerous times

-Sighed out of creative cloud and signed back in again

But the problem returns.

Hi,

Did you try cleaning your cache and preferences? If not, please do so by following instructions on this link and then relaunching InDesign. Troubleshooting 101: Replace, or "trash" your InDesign preferences

Also does it happen with all image files you try to place?

I have the same problem and I already deleted the preferences file. I tried everything I found on Internet but it doesn't work. I'm using Windows 10 pro and Indesign CC
