Please help! Strange units of width and hight in Adobe InDesign

I am new to Adobe InDesign. I´ve just tried to create a new document but the units are quite strange, they are not millimeters. I have already changed them to mm in Preferences but it doesn´t help. Please help me!

You need to change the measurements in InDesIgn Preferences without any document open. You seem to have it set in Picas at the moment.

You changed the preferences with a document open (the "Untitled-1" in the top screenshot). So you just changed them for that one document.

To change a general setting for all new documents, close all, then change the measurements. That will make your settings the new default for new documents.
