I am exporting an Autocad file as pdf to Photoshop and I want to preserve layers in the pdf. How can I do it? I am using CC 2015 version of photoshop and autocad 2012

pdf Layers are something quite different from Photoshop Layers, the best option seems to be to go through Illustrator and export a psd with Layers from there.
But I am curious if someone else knows a better approach.

I know this Illustrator method. I forgot to mention it in my earlier post. It is a little cumbersome opening Illustrator then exporting the file again.

Can you export it as a psd preserving layers. Photoshop will Flatten and Rasterize the pdf when opening.
