When I open Organiser V15 it immediately flags up Eelements 15 Organiser has stopped working. Close program.
Photo Editor and Video Editor are working fine. Orgaiser fails even if I try to open it after Editor is open.
Where do I even start to locate the problem? I am at a loss how to find the problem.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
First of all, please try creating a new catalog and see if gets created.
To create a new catalog, perform following steps:
1. While launching Organizer, keep Shift key pressed
2. Catalog Manager dialog will pop up
3. Click on New to create a new catalog
If you are able to create a new catalog without Organizer crashing, -
4. Go to Edit > Preferences > Files
5. Uncheck the option to automatically generate thumbnails of video files.
6. Once done so, switch back to your older c

If issue still persists, I would request you to please share Event Viewer logs. Follow the steps mentioned in Photoshop Elements Editor Help | How to Find Crash Logs on Windows to get those logs

Thank you Anwesha. That worked perfectly and PSE is up and running again. There were several video icons which I have now deleted from the catalog.
Many thanks for your help.

I had the same problems. I reinstalled PSE 15 and the problem persisted. I include the event. Is this the same problem that sydhsydh had? Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, 16 GB ram.

It was certainly a DLL that flagged up in the events but not sure if it was the same as you have listed. My PSE crashed immediately after opening but it was long enough for me to see several videos had appeared in the catalog. I would suggest you perform the actions above by creating a new catalog just so you can uncheck the video option. If you have no videos in the catalog, then this is probably not your problem.

Thanks. I did have plenty of videos but things were either going too fast or nothing pointed to videos as being the problem before Organizer simply stopped working. So far this "fix" has stopped the freezing of PSE. Strange that the video thumbnails would cause the problem. Does Adobe know about this?
