I wanted to make a photo book for a project at school, I exported it as a pdf and lost the original lightroom file. I now want to edit the pdf and add text/move around photos but I can't do that on Acrobat I need to export it back to Lightroom. Any suggestions on how?
I don't know if this is true with Adobe Reader. But with the full version of Adobe Acrobat there is an export option in the tools available in the right-hand panel. You can choose more formats, and then there is an image option and an option to check all of the images. Then you can specify where to export the images. I have never tried this before this morning. But it appears that the images are not full-sized images. I don't have Adobe Reader installed on my computer, so I'm not able to check

I am not aware of any way to take photos in a PDF file and extract them individually and import them into Lightroom, other than doing screen captures, which of course results in a loss of a lot of data in the photos.
You need to find your original Lightroom catalog file (use your operating system's search feature to search for all files whose name ends with .LRCAT, and double-click on each one found to open it in Lightroom). If that doesn't work, then you need to restore a recent backup of your catalog file and photos.

Thanks JimHess! I googled how to extract JPEGs from PDF and all I had to do was export from PDF to JPEG with Max Quality. Thank you

Doesn't this result in a reduced quality or lower resolution image?

If you read my answer, you would see that I indicated that the images were not full-sized images. As I understood the original question, the user wanted to know if there was any way to extract images from the PDF.
