After importing .mp4 video clips, some have the thumbnail and play fine.  Others are greyed out, won't play and an error message, not required compressor shows.

Hi,

For the files for which the error  "codec missing" comes up, you need to have same version Premiere Elements (serialized) installed on your PC and activate the royalty for these files to play in Elements Organizer.

Following link lists the video viewing options in Elements Organizer :

View video and full‑screen images in Elements Organizer

You can purchase PRE from :Video & movie making software | Adobe Premiere Elements 15

Thanks,

Arshla

Thanks Arshla; I'll give it a try

Also, I now realize that if I wait a while, the next time I check, many,

but not all of the videos now have a thumbnail and play no problem. Maybe

the computer just is not fast enough, although it is new and it's a middle

of the road for computing power.

Regards;

Steve
