Media Encoder prevents background actualisation

Hello,

anyone else already noticed, that the media encoder prevents files being updated from another program?

I think this was different in older versions. When I change a mix in audition and render it to the harddrive, it won't override the old file, but give me an error, that the file is in use by another application. This is caused by the media encoder. It is still opened (since I want to render again soon), but not rendering, just open in the background. The sound file is in use in after effects. If the media encoder is closed, it updates without problems in the background. if the media encoder is opened and I rendered the file from after effects before it doesn't work.

Best Regards

As I see it, you have three options:

  • Use the older version, where it works
  • Change your workflow to accommodate the bug
  • Endure a lengthy diagnostic process to fix the new version

Pick your poison.
