Upgrading Drobo Gen to Drobo 5c

I have just purchased a Drobo 5c and want to transfer all the images and catalogues from the first generation Drobo unit to the new one, what is the best way to do this without missing images becoming a problem for Lightroom.

I know I can move the drives from the old unit to the new unit but how will LR know where they are?
