I didn't see much of a feature upgrade. I run s 6 year old with does 10 i7 maxed out to 16 gb ram. I shoot the Sony a7rii and the previous dot version choked on the 42 mpx raws. Almost unusable, just to run through a set of images.
But with the dot 8 release, it is significantly snappier. Still a bit sluggish in the 100 percent redraws. I still upgrading my hardware next year, but the performance optimization is much appreciated!
